Mamee Chef Day

Hi there!!

Last Saturday went for a Mamee factory road trip at Malacca for one day.Thanks to nuffnang and Mamee Monster.The bus should be departed from 8am but then some of the bloggers haven’t arrive yet plus I’m little late too because last nite slept too late.So arrived there 8plus.Luckily the bus haven’t arrive,so my first stop was at the Mamee Office at Subang.

At 9am the bus started to head to Malacca and we arrived there like 11am.

Our first stop was at the Malacca Mamee factory which makes yummy snacks like Mamee Monster,Mister Potato and Mamee Mee. The bloggers can’t wait to have hands on Mamee snacks and just wanna grab all the mamee mee.But first....

The demonstration on how to make Mamee Chef using by hand and some are made by using machine.On the right is the Mamee chairman.The Chef came from Beijing that method she doing is called ‘La Mien’ which means ‘Pull Mee’ that involves the method of pulling the mee.

 

Below is the ingredients of mamee sauce found in the packaging

After being frozen the sauce looks like this (on the right) and the left one which is just being cooked.Mamee Chef has this spices inside as well,one of their favourite flavour would be the Mamee Chef Curry Laksa which is also rated the Top 10 Best Instant Noodles in the World for 2014 by The Ramen Rater.

The Executive chairman of Mamee Monster which is Datuk Pang Chee Hin which he founded Mamee back when 1972 which I was still in mummy’s tummy haven’t born yet :P The name ‘Mamee’ was founded well when we called Mom or Mamee (in Chinese) so that’s how it was founded;quite simple yet unique name that everyone remembers and love it.The brand Mamee also was the top brand in Malaysia which everyone loves.When my childhood that time,I used to loved this snacks which sell for 20cents each outside my primary school which everyday after school there always this uncle riding a motorbike selling ice-cream,chewing gum and also mamee monster snacks.Well that uncle is still here which now I often saw him at pasar malam.

This is how Mamee first ever mee which was created in 1972 which was called ‘LUCKY’ back then.

The mamee mee which was founded year 2002 the famillar ones that have been selling in supermarket quite sometimes.

 

Mamee Chef was founded on 2012-2013 which their best flavour would be Curry Laksa.With Dato’ Chef Ismail collaboration the Mamee Chef was selling like hot cakes.The paste was co-created by Chef Ismail for Mamee Chef’s Thai Tom Yam and curry laksa are made with fresh ingredients of herbs and spices. The Mamee Chef portion are bigger compare to the others packaging of Mamee and also lots varities of flavours like prawns,bite-sized tofu,shitake mushrooms and vegetables and the famous flavours that typical Malaysians love would be curry laksa and tom yam flavour.

The mini size of Mamee monster :D guess this mayb sells for 1 cents back then?haha if it is I would get like 100 pieces of it because it’s just so irresistible and which is rich in cortino oil high in protein and trans fat free (so no become fatty girl no matter how much I ate)

 First is mixing the flour.

 

Then brings to steaming,cutting process where ‘the piano boys are there to cut the noodles to make it evenly inside the noodle cup like they are playing piano :D 

 

On the left side there is another operation going on where they are making mamee monster snacks same operation where they have to put in flour steaming and cutting process just the middle process is different.

Cute and sweet souvenirs were given too where there are mamee products and a sweet note wrapped with a chopstick noodle from Mamee monster at the end of the factory tour.Then we leaved for the second tour to Mamee Jonker House where blogger gets to D.I.Y their own favourite cup of noodles here and buy souvenirs back to KL where it is cheaper and it comes in a boundles which is just selling for RM10.
