Story Line
Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, the film is an action drama focusing on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners. It would be an impossible mission: with the art trapped behind enemy lines, and with the German army under orders to destroy everything as the Reich fell, how could these guys - seven museum directors, curators, and art historians, all more familiar with Michelangelo than the M-1 - possibly hope to succeed? But as the Monuments Men, as they were called, found themselves in a race against time to avoid the destruction of 1000 years of culture, they would risk their lives to protect and defend mankind's greatest achievements

My opinion for this movie
I feel that this movie talks about how to protect arts that have painted by the well known like picasso,rembrandt,Micheal Angelo so if you don't not a fan of the famous artists don't think you would like this movie.The soilders are trying to protect the french culture as the sketchworks and paintings are being stolen and make a profit out of it,while others are trying to burn them.So these soilders (Frank Stokes,James Granger,Richard Campbell,Walter Garfield) are trying to protect these painting and sent back to the rightfully owner because they believe if they just let them burn the paintings and not keeping the french culture alive well the younger generation wont know who are they and they (artists) will be not known forever and well they will die without dignity.Its a movie where it talks about war,french cultures,french histories.You need to really focus to know the story behind it .

Well I give this movie a rate of 8/20 because it's nice but I am a person who likes French and thier artworks but it's too much talking and I think that the movie keeps on skipping from A scene to B scene which it makes it real complicated.
