As you all know when Chinese New Year comes on the first day or the eve, everyone will sit together to have a "tuen yuen" dinner."Homecoming" is about three stories of three different individuals going home for Chinese New Year. A major highlight of the movie is that Jack Neo, who will be cross-dressing on the big screen again after eleven years since "Liang Po Po The Movie" back in 1999.
He will be playing mother to Ah Niu's character. It is said that he was told to lose at least 5kg for his role.In this role as Ah Niu's mother that he and his son have to get home in time to eat the reunion dinner but in the middle of the story, there is a child with broken family which she wants to get back to her mom but when she arrive at her mom's house, she saw that her mom has forgotten about her and then her French dad called her to come back for reunion dinner,so she needs Ah Niu and Ah Niu's mother to help her to get her a ticket back to Singapore where the girl's father lives. When they arrive at the airport,Ah Niu's mother have to sacrifice her 1ST PRIZE LOTTERY which cost 80K Singapore Dollars to someone to get her back to singapore tix..Will Ah Niu's mother able to give people in order to exchange the airplane tix to Singapore?Did I mention that she nearly use the 80K Singapore Dollars to use as toilet papers?xD
Jack Neo long time collaborator Mark Lee and Malaysian multi-talented writer-director-comedian Afdlin Shauki are among the cast.In this movie Jack Neo also plays a French chef his dishes are "fantabulous" that he needs to cook for the Dato and family for chinese new year but he doesn't have any helpers to help him..so he have to ask her girlfriend to call his aunty which she knows how to cook efficiently.Afdlin Shauki plays a taxi driver which makes the movie more funnier. He fetches Ah Niu and her mother to Singapore.Suddenly she recieve a call from his wife that is giving birth so he have to fetch her wife to the hospital. Will Adflin Shauki manage to get his wife to the hospital and give birth in time? Will Ah Niu and her mother get back to Malaysia to have reunion dinner in time for Chinese New Year eve?Do find out the answers in the movie!!^-^
